Collections Department Supervisor |
|
| Primary Responsibilities: |
- Effectively process inbound/outbound calls and initiate the request for payment
- Provide quality service by reviewing account status and taking appropriate action
- Ensures departmental success by collecting outstanding debts
- Follows all established policies and procedures to assure compliance with federal, state, agency and professional standards
- Must understand and comply with the regulations established by the FDCPA
- Provide basic supervision of collections staff
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Assist Collections Department managers in addressing questions and/or concerns
- Responsible for safety of department during emergencies
- Ensure the building is secure at night
- Assist with training and observation of new Collectors
- Must Supervise one late night per week and one Saturday per month
- Strong communications and negotiation skills required

| Qualifications Education: |
- High School or GED equivalent required
- College education preferred, but not required
|
|
| Required Knowledge: |
- Thorough knowledge of the Collections Industry and Call Center practices and procedures
|
|
| Experience Required: |
- Minimum of one year collections experience
- Minimum of one year supervisor experience
|
|
| Skills/Abilities: |
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent leadership and human relations abilities
- Exceptional organizational, listening, technical and analytical skills
|
|
